TENNESSEE SAWMILLS IN OPERATION IN 1905
To try to understand what these sawmill operations were like, I am including a picture of what they looked like at that time. It wasn’t until recently that I found the photo of the aftermath of the T. J. Salts explosion. The reason it had never been discovered was due to incorrect photograph metadata. Metadata on photographs is a very difficult process of collecting known and assumed data that is the best effort at that time, or what has been passed down from other people. That being said, I feel we all hold responsibility to correct any errors when found to make historical records more accurate. I will present that photograph on another page.
